A 2021 Outlook
Looking forward to something requires us to think about where we have been. It’s safe to say that the year 2020 has been arduous, crushing, and long-fought, for all of humanity on a personal level as well as a collective one. The need to suddenly close businesses brought a sudden halt to our livelihoods which resulted in levels of isolation most of us didn’t know were possible within the confines of freedom. We had no choice but to try to adapt. But within these new confines a reset button was gifted to all of us privately, socially, and professionally. A reset button that has us asking ourselves, “What kind of world do I want to live in?”, backed up by a staunch conviction that anything is possible.
The success of any idea relies on how well that idea is in tune with the pulse of the people. Simply put – is it something we want? After all, an electric vehicle company [Tesla] just made it into the S&P 500 for the first time in the history of the world. The market has spoken!
Furthermore, it has been remarkable to witness Zoom become a household name in such a short period of time. The company’s ability to keep pace with the extreme spike in demand for virtual conferencing, while keeping it intuitive, earned CEO Eric Yuan the title of Time’s Business Person of the Year. Despite being forced into a “work from home” situation, the usefulness, practicality, and benefits of their product became glaringly obvious and society began to question the necessity of the five-day commute. Companies soon realized that they could be saving money in commercial real estate over the long term while environmental agencies began to notice improvements in air quality all over the world. And those fortunate enough to retain jobs during this crisis discovered how much time the day provides us when we are not subjected to rush-hour traffic. The positive takeaways from the pandemic began to reveal themselves and we began to realize that some of the things we thought were necessary and took for granted actually contributed to the catastrophic toll this virus took on us.
All of these things seem to move us in the same direction of seeking common- sense solutions that remain in tune with what we want. As the wealth gap and in some cases the education gap increase in society, the desire for common-sense solutions has become the strongest it has ever been. Ideas and solutions that can spread quickly, cheaply, and effectively around the world to move us closer towards an existence that we want are celebrated daily.
It is this pillar that The Blu-nit Organization positions itself on first and foremost. People want to be empowered to make the best decisions for themselves, their present and future family, and a community that they are a part of. Our mission is to equip you with the power to enact as much change as you can within your own means. To us, equipping people with the right information to make these decisions is a common-sense solution.
Despite 2020 doing everything in its power to reduce us, The Blu-nit Organization will not let go of our mission and our hope that the number of common-sense solutions will continue to swell in 2021. We hope you continue to engage with us as we turn the page to a new beginning. Do not let optimism fade in your heart – we sure won’t.
Stay safe and Happy New Year,
